What is FYC?
Family & Youth Conference (FYC) is an annual spiritual fiesta of the Northeast American Diocese. The FYC fosters vital spaces for spiritual growth, education, and connection. The conference ensures that the values and teachings of Orthodoxy are passed down through generations, strengthening the fabric of individual families and nurturing the broader church community.
Who can participate in FYC:
FYC serves four broadly categorized age groups in joint and specialized sessions:
  • ADULTS
  • FOCUS
  • MGOCSM
  • SUNDAY SCHOOL

What do we do at FYC?
  1. Thematic Lectures & Workshops: Topics on biblical, theological, social, family life, youth issues, personal development are being discussed across a broader spectrum.
  2. Worship Services: Divine Liturgy, canonical prayers, and sacraments feature prominently.
  3. Activities for Youth: Activities that foster friendship, teamwork, faith exploration, games, talent shows and discussions aimed at engaging youth attendees during the conference.
  4. Family Activities: Sessions designed to strengthen family bonds, resources on parenthood, family challenges, and bonding exercises, strengthening family ties through faith.
  5. Fellowship Opportunities: Time for participants to socialize, share experiences, and build community.
  6. Guest Speakers: Often includes well learned theological scholars, clergies and lay leaders who can provide insight and inspiration.
